Hello, Normally we measure the outside diameter of the object. So a base with a 4-1/2 inch seat will accept a object with a 4-1/2 inch Outside Diameter.
Base Question 4-1/2in. Recessed Seat - 3 Feet Plain Bottom - Walnut
The Inside Diameter of my lamp glass is 4 5/8". Will it fit correctly on a 4-1-2 in-recessed-seat-3-feet-plain-bottom base?
