The globe is hand blown "smoked glass" and will look slightly different under different lights. This globe is not gold. Smoked glass is glass held in the smoke of a candle flame such that one surface of the sheet of glass is covered in a layer of smoke residue. The color reflects that process and may be lighter or darker depending on where the glass is made. Since each globe is hand made, they will have varying degrees of smoke.
