Is the SOUSP Universal Spider Ring available in steel? Universal 3 And 4 Spoke Spider Ring With Uno Thread And 8/32 Threaded Holes

I am having difficulty achieving a secure fit when using 10 gauge nickel plated wire or steel wire to the SOUSP Universal ring. The rod can continue turning into the holes without threads, and can become loose when handling during assembly to the shade and installing on the lamp socket. I need my shade spider to be firm when assembled and in use, and not flimsy, and the style of shades I make require the UNO design. I think this ring should be available in a metal that is less brittle and broader in capability than brass...something so the ring and the wire could be a similar metal to facilitate more compatible means of smithing, machining, and welding, for a quickly repeatable, reliable and lasting connection.
