Swapping out a G9 base to an E17 base
E-17 Base Porcelain Socket with 1/8ips. Hickey and 24in. Wire Leads
Hi. I have a Kichler two light bathroom vanity light that has the G9 bases. We Hate them, they flicker, etc. We've already taken one light off the wall, pulled out the G9 base and noticed that the wires are semi-fried. So, we definitely don't want to replace the G9 socket. I want to be able to use a regular light bulb. I want the E17 as opposed to the E26 because the light bulb can't be too big/long or else it will protrude out of the bottom. I see there is E17 ceramic bases here, so I thought we'd take a change and try it. Any thoughts??
Thank you.
