So I could probably put this under a socket, inside the neck/base of a 1.625" glass straight fitter? 120mm (4-3/4in) Diameter - Triple Leg Spring Clip Shade Holder with 1/8ips Slip Center Hole

Or maybe use one of the larger ones so that the ends of the "petals" rest just above the slight indented neck of the straight fitter shade? With a rusk/compression fitter on the outside of the shade?
