Yes 1/8ips female threaded arm backs will work with ALL 1/8ips male threads;
The purpose of having less thread on one end of a lamp pipe is typically to allow for flexibility in assembly and adjustment when installing a lamp or light fixture. Here are a few reasons why this might be done: Adjustment and Leveling: Lamp pipes are used to secure light fixtures to the ceiling or wall. Having less thread on one end allows for easier adjustment of the fixture's height or angle during installation. This is particularly useful when trying to ensure the fixture hangs straight or is positioned correctly. Compatibility: Sometimes, the design of the lamp or the ceiling mounting hardware requires a specific length of thread to fit properly. By having less thread on one end, it ensures the lamp pipe can be securely fastened without excessive thread protruding, which could interfere with the fixture's mounting. Aesthetic Considerations: In some cases, particularly with decorative lighting, having less visible thread can enhance the appearance of the fixture by minimizing the exposed hardware.
Please note we do carry 1/8ips threaded male pipe with the SAME thread on each end as well. You can find ALL of our 1/8ips Male threaded pipe here
