The insulator is designed to prevent accidental contact with live electrical components inside the socket. By protruding slightly, it helps ensure that any conductive material (such as a metal object or a finger) coming into contact with the socket is less likely to touch the live electrical parts, reducing the risk of electrical shock.
We do not carry a porcelain uno threaded socket at this time.
