I am looking for a replacement attachment to use with a vintage hobnail table lamp. Is this what I need? 2-5/8in. Chimney Holder with 1/8ips. Slip Through Center Hole - Unfinished Brass

I purchased a glass chimney lamp shade, but the lamp does not have anything for it to fit into. I'm not quite sure if this is a piece I can use or how to measure to ensure a good fit.
