The only real difference is how the "cap" or bottom portion of the socket is attached.
On a SOGB25AB the entire bottom portion of the socket is the cap and is threaded onto the top portion.
On a SO19980CBABUNO the socket is more akin to a classic metal shell two piece socket, but instead of pushing/clicking the socket together, the capture ring holds the cap into place.
Otherwise they are basically the same, same 1/8ips thread on the bottom. Same pull chain functionality.
