Will this wire fit in 1/8" existing nipple? 8ft. Corn Silk 18/2 SPT-1 Cord Set with Black - Polarized Rubber Plug

I bought a very expensive lamp from Great Britain with the 3 prong plug with the 3 amp fuse within, like your product SKU WICUKGBL. I do not want to replace all the metal hardware on the lamp to fit a larger nipple. Will this wire fit through that size nipple and can I place a toggle switch on this cord? Or do you have another suggestion? I need gold, but I'm partial to rayon wrapped (classic looking) cord sets.
