You would use a 1/8ips threaded nipple or pipe to connect this to the crossbar in a configuration similar to the diagram shown below:
This q was asked but not seeing how this canopy connects to the crossbar. Do you have to drill holes in it? Thanks. 3in Diameter Round Cast Canopy/Base with 1/8ips Slip Center Hole
