If you are using 1/8ips (3/8in) pipe then you would want check rings that slip 1/8ips (3/8in) pipe. If you are using 1/4ips (1/2in) pipe then you will want to use Check Rings that slip 1/4ips. For a better understanding of lamp thread please refer to this article.
