California's Proposition 65 requires warnings on products that may expose consumers to certain chemicals during manufacturing, assembly, or normal use, even if those chemicals are present only in trace amounts or in other components of the product.
As a result, many lighting components carry a Proposition 65 warning as a precaution to comply with California law. It is not an indication that the marble itself is made of or contains lead.
