Thank you for your question. The only difference between these finials is the thread size.
- 1/4-20 UNC has 20 threads per inch.
- 1/4-27 UNF has 27 threads per inch.
Although the two finials look nearly identical, they are not interchangeable. A 1/4-20 finial will only fit a 1/4-20 threaded harp or stud, and a 1/4-27 finial will only fit a 1/4-27 threaded harp or stud. Be sure to match the thread size of your existing hardware when selecting a replacement.
