The first step is to make sure all of the hardware is fully tightened, as this is usually enough to keep the candle sockets properly aligned.
If you find that the sockets still rotate slightly after everything is snug, applying a small amount of medium-strength threadlocker (such as blue Loctite®) to the threads can help keep them at the desired angle while still allowing future disassembly if needed.
Be careful not to use a permanent threadlocker (such as red Loctite®), as it can make future adjustments or repairs very difficult.
