Based on the published dimensions, we would not recommend this socket for a glass lamp with a 1-1/4" opening.
For a socket with a captive ring to securely hold glass, the threaded shell must pass through the opening while the retaining ring must extend beyond the edge of the glass to clamp it securely. Since this socket has a published maximum width of approximately 1-1/4", it is unlikely to provide adequate clearance and retention for a glass opening of the same size.
We recommend selecting a socket with a smaller body diameter and a retaining ring that is sufficiently larger than the glass opening to securely support the glass.
