The HAW100 has a 2-1/2 in. outside diameter, so it is large enough to overlap a 1-7/8 in. opening. However, we would not recommend placing the steel washer directly against the glass, as metal-to-glass contact can put stress on the glass and potentially cause damage.
If used for this type of application, there should be an appropriate rubber, fiber, or felt cushion washer between the steel washer and the glass. Do not overtighten the assembly against the glass.
