No nut is required on the back side of the canopy for this installation. The 1/8ips female threaded end of HS205 threads onto the fully threaded 1/8ips rod extending from the crossbar. The HS205 passes through the canopy opening, and the included threaded ring installs on the outside of the canopy and tightens against the canopy to hold it in place. Please see the installation diagram for reference.
