Yes, this soft annealed unfinished brass is suitable for laser engraving/etching. With a properly configured, high-quality laser, you can produce clean and relatively deep markings in the brass.
For an example of the results we achieve on unfinished brass, you can view our Laser Engraved Finials. These are laser engraved in-house by Grand Brass.
As with any laser process, the final results will depend on the type of laser, power, speed, focus, and other machine settings, so we recommend testing your settings for the desired depth and finish.
